Shanghai Zoo currently has an area of about 74 hectares, breeding and exhibiting more than 5,000 rare and precious wild animals of more than 470 species (heads). Among them are the world-famous giant pandas known as "national treasures" and "living fossils", as well as my country's special rare wild animals such as golden monkeys, South China tigers, and Chinese alligators, as well as representative animals from all over the world such as gorillas, African lions, giraffes, Polar bears, kangaroos, South American tapirs, etc. It was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction, and won the titles of "Top Ten National Zoos" and "Shanghai Civilized Unit".

More than 400 species of trees and more than 100,000 trees are planted in the garden, especially with a fresh and open lawn of 100,000 square meters, which basically maintains the topography of the golf course 50 years ago. Every green landscaping in the park is combined with the ecological environment of animals. Especially in Swan Lake, the reeds inside and outside the lake are shaded by green trees, and flocks of pelicans and wild geese are often lined up in the blue sky, graceful and vigorous.
